Erika Smull, PhD.

Research Analyst

Erika is a research analyst at Breckinridge. In her role, she performs municipal credit analysis and contributes to Breckinridge’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives. Erika has been with the firm since 2022 and has over two years of industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge she was a water resources engineer at Otak, Inc. Erika is a member of the National Federal of Municipal Analysts and the American Society of Civil Engineers. She holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an M.S. in civil and environmental engineering from Colorado State University. Erika also holds a PhD. in environmental policy, with a focus on water utilities and the municipal bond market, from Duke University.
