The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures Released 2018 Report
Breckinridge is proud to support The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) which aims to “help companies understand what financial markets want from disclosure in order to measure and respond to climate change risks, and encourage firms to align their disclosures with investors’ needs.” Their newly released 2018 report provides recommendations and frameworks to help companies develop more effective climate-related financial disclosures through their existing reporting processes.

New Report Suggests Paths to Greater Green Bond Issuance
Breckinridge is pleased to have taken part in the Green Bond Symposium held by the Milken Institute and the state of California Treasury Dept. earlier this year. The Symposium was aimed at expanding the green bond market and creating new funding for U.S. infrastructure needs. Tangible recommendations from the event are detailed in a new report.
Breckinridge to Speak at SEC Fixed Income Market Structure Advisory Committee Meeting
Our Head of Municipal Trading, Ben Smelser, will participated in an upcoming SEC panel discussion on the Current State of Pre-Trade Transparency in the U.S. Municipal Securities Market. The SEC established the advisory committee “to provide a formal mechanism through which the Commission can receive advice and recommendations on fixed income market structure issues.” The meeting took place on July 16th.

Breckinridge honored by nonprofit organization B Lab as a top-scoring Certified B Corporation aiming to better society. Breckinridge Contributes to World Bank Report on Incorporating ESG Factors Into Fixed Income
Breckinridge was interviewed on our ESG integration process for this report commissioned by Japan’s Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF). The World Bank and GPIF will also collaborate on other initiatives “that promote strategies for including environmental, social and governance criteria in investment decisions across different asset classes. Ultimately, the aim is to direct more capital towards sustainable investments.”
