Ognjen Sosa, CAIA, FRM

Chief Investment Officer

Oggie is Breckinridge’s chief investment officer. As CIO he chairs the Investment Committee, which is responsible for managing the firm’s investment process. Oggie oversees the development of the investment strategy within the Investment Committee, and ensures the strategy’s implementation across trading, research, and portfolio management. He is also a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors.

Prior to joining Breckinridge in 2021, Oggie was Retirement Income Solutions Investment Lead at Fidelity Investments. In this role, he led investment and product teams to develop innovative investment solutions for workplace and retail markets, incorporating lifetime income guarantees for people who are nearing and living in retirement. Before joining the retirement income cross-company initiative in 2020, Oggie led Fidelity’s Global Institutional Solutions (i.e. outsourced chief investment officer) team responsible for managing customized multi-asset and LDI mandates for institutional investors and intermediaries with primary focus on defined benefit plans, endowments, foundations and family offices. In this role, he provided investment leadership and oversight on $22 billion in client AUM invested across proprietary and third-party equity, fixed income and alternative strategies.

Oggie joined Fidelity’s institutional asset management unit in 2007 as a quantitative analyst, supporting a build-out of the firm's target date funds along with its multi-asset risk management platform. In 2010, he was named a co-portfolio manager on strategies run by the newly established Global Institutional Solutions team, which he successfully led from 2014-2019. Oggie began his financial services career in 2005 as a quantitative analyst at State Street Global Markets where he conducted research and developed U.S. and Canadian long-short equity-market-neutral portfolios.

Oggie holds a bachelor and master of science degrees in mechanical engineering, as well as a master of science in management and master of business administration degrees, all from the University of Florida. He is also a Certified Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) charter holder and held an adjunct faculty position at Bryant University from 2010-2012, teaching undergraduate finance and investment courses.
