On her role…

My role as CIO is to oversee the investment process and investment team at Breckinridge. It’s really coordinating all the functions across the teams – trading, research and portfolio management – to make sure the best ideas from each are coming together in a way that ensures we are doing our best to deliver high quality fixed income investment management for our clients.

On her day-to-day activities…

I spend a lot of time interacting internally and externally to determine what we can do to strengthen our business and satisfy our clients. I'm in a fortunate position where I get to collaborate with everyone across the firm and help ensure we’re all working together and pulling in the same direction.

On what clients value…

A consistent theme at Breckinridge is our transparency and openness. We are very willing to talk about our investment perspective, what worked and what didn’t, and our philosophy and rationale behind our decisions.

On technology at Breckinridge…

One of the great things about Breckinridge is our focus on technology. One of our most notable innovations is our tax-sensitive crossover capability, which gives us the ability to consistently and systematically analyze client portfolios from a taxable versus tax-exempt perspective at any point in time.

On our biggest challenge…

It’s always a challenge to figure out what’s next and how we can continue to get better at what we do. Whether it’s how we do research or how we implement portfolios, we are continually challenged to figure out how to leverage resources and use our entrepreneurial and innovative mindsets to make us more insightful and efficient.
