    • Peter B. CoffinPresident

      Peter Coffin is President and Portfolio Manager at Breckinridge Capital Advisors, a Boston-based fixed income investment manager with over $24 billion in assets under management. Peter has over 30 years of experience in the investment industry. Before founding Breckinridge in 1993, Peter was a Senior Vice President with Massachusetts Financial Services (MFS), where he managed municipal bond portfolios and served on the MFS Fixed Income Policy Committee. As a committee member, he shared oversight of all the firm’s fixed income strategies. Peter began his career as an analyst, first in the Bond and Money Market group of the Connecticut National Bank, and then in Aetna’s Bond Investment division. Peter received a BA with honors in classical studies from Hamilton College in 1982 and serves on the college’s Board of Trustees. He also serves on the board of The Trustees of Reservations and is President of the Frontier Nursing University Foundation. Peter was previously on the board of the Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investment (US SIF) and the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB). Peter recently received an FSA Credential from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), which seeks to develop and disseminate sustainability accounting standards that help public corporations disclose material, decision-useful information to investors. Peter speaks regularly at conferences on topics related to the management of fixed income portfolios and sustainable investing, and his commentary on those subjects is often reported in the press.

    • David J. Madigan*Chief Investment Officer

      David is Breckinridge’s chief investment officer. He sits on the firm’s Executive Committee, and also heads the Investment Committee. Under David’s leadership, Breckinridge’s Investment Committee determines market outlook and directs the firm’s investment strategy. He has been with the firm since 2003 and has over 20 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, David was an executive vice president at Thomson Financial where he developed and produced global fixed income research products. David also held positions as chief municipal strategist at Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. and as a private bank asset manager at both Bankers Trust and Prudential Financial Inc. David’s research on municipal bond risk management was published in the 1994 Handbook of Municipal Bonds, and the 1996 Handbook of Derivatives Risk and Responsibility. David currently serves on the Town of Duxbury Board of Selectmen. He holds a BA in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

    • Matthew C. Buscone*Executive Vice President

      Matt, Executive Vice President, is co-head of portfolio management and head of Breckinridge’s San Diego office. He sits on the firm’s Executive and Investment Committees. In his role, Matt oversees the management of the firm’s tax-efficient bond portfolios and bridges the Boston and San Diego offices to maintain seamless communication between coasts. Matt joined Breckinridge in 2002 as a trader and transitioned to Portfolio Management in 2008. He has over 18 years of industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Matt was a tax-exempt trader at Mellon Private Asset Management. Before Mellon, Matt was a portfolio manager at David L. Babson & Co. for both taxable and tax-exempt money market portfolios. Matt holds a BA in economics from Bryant College.

    • Jeffrey Glenn, CFA*Senior Vice President

      Jeff, Senior Vice President, is co-head of portfolio management at Breckinridge. He sits on the firm’s Investment Committee. In his role, Jeff oversees the management of Breckinridge’s Government Credit bond portfolios. In 2012, Jeff joined the firm as a trader and transitioned to Portfolio Management in 2015. He has over 18 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Jeff was an associate portfolio manager/analyst at Brandes Investment Partners where he researched and traded corporate bonds from a wide range of sectors. Before Brandes, Jeff was an associate director at Banc One Capital Markets Inc. where he analyzed investment-grade utilities. Jeff began his career at Old Republic Asset Management as an investment analyst. He holds a BA from Union College and is a member of the CFA Institute.

    • Sara Chanda*Senior Vice President

      Sara, Senior Vice President, is a portfolio manager at Breckinridge. She is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. In her role, Sara is responsible for the day-to-day management and monitoring of client portfolios. Sara joined Breckinridge in 2010 as a trader and transitioned to Portfolio Management in 2013. She has over 16 years of industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Sara was a vice president and trader at Eaton Vance Management where she traded various specialty state mutual funds. In addition, she oversaw trading and operations for Eaton Vance’s separately managed accounts, focusing on systems automation projects. Before Eaton Vance, Sara was responsible for municipal bond trading at Fidelity Investments. Sara began her career at State Street Bank & Trust Co. She holds a BS in business administration from Providence College and an MBA from the Boston University School of Management.

    • Ji Young Jung, CFASenior Vice President

      Ji Young, Senior Vice President, is a portfolio manager at Breckinridge. She is a member of the firm’s Risk Committee. In her role, Ji Young is responsible for the day-to-day management and monitoring of client portfolios. Ji Young joined Breckinridge in 2010 as a research analyst and transitioned to Portfolio Management in 2012. She has over nine years of industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, Ji Young was a credit analyst in the Public Finance group at Assured Guaranty Ltd. where she evaluated various tax-backed and revenue-supported debt obligations. She began her career at Financial Security Assurance where she analyzed municipal and corporate bonds. Ji Young is a member of the California Society of Municipal Analysts and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. Ji Young holds a BA in political science from Yale University and is a member of the CFA Institute. Ji Young is based in San Diego.

    • Eric Haase, CFAVice President

      Eric, Vice President, is a portfolio manager for Breckinridge. In his role, Eric is responsible for the day-to-day management and monitoring of client portfolios. Eric joined the firm in January 2016 and has over 11 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Eric was a portfolio manager for SCS Financial, where he focused on managing tax-exempt separate accounts as well as conducting manager research across fixed income sectors. He holds a BA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is a member of the CFA Institute.

    • Eric FernaldAssistant Vice President

      Eric, Assistant Vice President, is a performance analyst at Breckinridge. He is also a member of the firm’s Environmental Committee. In his role, Eric generates and analyzes performance for the firm’s strategies. He is also responsible for attribution, composite creation, GIPS auditing and supports Operations and Portfolio Management. He has been with Breckinridge since 2013 and has over seven years of industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, Eric worked for Pioneer Investments. At Pioneer, Eric held several roles. He began in client service, then moved into data analysis, and finally settled into performance analysis where he provided firm-wide performance, presentation and GIPS compliance support. Eric holds a BA from Emerson College and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts Boston. He is also a CIPM candidate.

    • Neil Grabowski*Director of Credit Research

      Neil, Senior Vice President, is Breckinridge’s director of research. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. In his role, Neil heads Breckinridge’s credit research efforts, interprets the broader credit environment and performs municipal credit analysis. He has been with the firm since 2008 and has over 30 years of industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Neil was director of municipal bond research at Gannett Welsh & Kotler. Neil began his career at Aetna Life & Casualty, where he directed municipal research and managed insurance portfolios. He also held research positions at The Colonial Group and Wellington Management Company. Neil is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Boston Municipal Analyst Forum. He holds both a BA and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.

    • Adam Stern*Director of Municipal Research

      Adam, Senior Vice President, is Breckinridge’s director of municipal research. He is a member of the firm’s Investment and Risk Committees. In his role, Adam heads Breckinridge’s municipal research efforts, contributes regular thought leadership and performs municipal credit analysis. Adam also oversees Breckinridge’s systems for monitoring holdings and analyzing credit trends. He has been with the firm since 2009 and has over 10 years of industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Adam was the chief financial and policy analyst for Connecticut's Association of Towns and Cities. Adam has published two academic journal articles on the history of Connecticut's personal income tax and state budget, and his writing on municipal insolvency and public pension law has appeared in The Bond Buyer. Adam holds a BA from Amherst College, a JD from the University of Connecticut, and an MPA from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.

    • Nicholas S. Elfner*Director of Corporate Research

      Nick, Senior Vice President, is Breckinridge’s director of corporate research. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. In his role, Nick heads Breckinridge’s corporate credit research efforts, contributes regular thought leadership and performs corporate credit analysis. He has been with the firm since 2009 and has over 20 years of credit research experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Nick was a vice president at Wellington Management Company where he researched and managed corporate bonds. He also held senior research positions with Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. in New York and Toronto. Nick began his career at Smith Barney & Co. in Tokyo as an assistant bond trader. Nick is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society and the Fixed Income Analysts’ Society. He serves on the Investment Committees of Anatolia College and the American College of Thessaloniki, and he sits on the Board of Visitors of The Fenn School. Nick holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College.

    • Robert J. Fernandez, CFADirector of ESG Research

      Rob, Vice President, is Breckinridge’s director of environmental, social and governance (ESG) research. In his role, Rob leads Breckinridge’s ongoing ESG integration efforts, regularly contributes thought leadership and performs corporate credit analysis. Rob has been with the firm since 2010 and has over 16 years of research experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Rob was a senior research analyst at Opus Investment Management. Rob began his career in credit research at State Street Bank & Trust Co. as a participant in its commercial loan officer development program. He has also held commercial credit analyst positions at Cambridge Savings Bank and Eastern Bank. Rob serves on the board of the Boston Security Analysts Society and Victory Programs Inc. Rob is also a member of the Investment Committee for the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. He is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. Rob holds a BS from Boston College and an MBA from the Boston University School of Management, and is a member of the CFA Institute.

    • Christopher Woodward, CFAVice President

      Chris, Vice President, is a senior research analyst at Breckinridge. In his role, Chris performs both municipal and corporate credit analysis. He is also engaged in state and federal policy development as it relates to Breckinridge’s investments and commitments. He has been with the firm since 1999 and has over 15 years of research experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Chris was a senior database securities analyst with Scudder Kemper Investments Inc. In this role, Chris served the global fixed income trading desk, providing pricing and data integrity services. Chris began his career at Putnam Investments in the firm’s mutual funds group, valuing fund assets for fixed income municipal bond portfolios. Chris is a member of the Boston Municipal Analysts Forum and the Boston Security Analysts Society. He holds a BS in business finance from Ithaca College. Chris earned a CFA designation in 2001, before serving as one of the program’s instructors.

    • Alriona CostiganVice President

      Alriona, Vice President, is a senior research analyst at Breckinridge. In her role, she performs municipal credit analysis. She has been with the firm since 2002 and has over 16 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Alriona was employed by Zurich Scudder Investments in Dublin, Ireland in their Portfolio Administration group. She is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Boston Municipal Analyst Forum. Alriona holds a BA in English and economics from University College Dublin, an MBA from the Kemmy School of Business at the University of Limerick, Ireland, a Certificate in Investment Management from Dublin City University, and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Limerick.

    • Jem HudsonVice President

      Jem, Vice President, is a research analyst for Breckinridge. In her role, Jem is primarily responsible for further advancing the firm’s integration and analysis of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors. In addition, she leads Breckinridge’s engagement efforts, performs corporate credit analysis and authors the firm's recently launched Sustainability Newsletter. She joined the firm in January 2016 and has over 10 years of financial services and sustainability experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Jem was the CEO of Caldy Group, a boutique strategy consulting firm she founded to advise financial institutions seeking to expand their presence in sustainable investing. Before Caldy Group, Jem was a researcher with Professor Michael E. Porter at Harvard Business School, where she made contributions in the areas of competitive strategy, competitiveness of nations and creating shared value. Jem started her career as an analyst in Deutsche Bank's investment banking division. She serves as a steering committee member for High Meadows Institute’s Path to Value initiative and for the Wharton School’s Social Impact Alumni Group. She is also a senior alumni advisor to the Harvard College Impact Investing Group. Jem holds an AB from Harvard College and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

    • Abigail IngallsVice President

      Abi, Vice President, is a senior research analyst at Breckinridge. In her role, Abi performs municipal credit analysis and contributes to the ongoing development of Breckinridge’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) frameworks. Abi joined the firm in 2009 and has been promoted several times during her tenure with the firm. Prior to her current role, Abi spent two years, from July 2013 to July 2015, with Breckinridge’s Consultant Relations team. In this role, she focused on the development of the firm’s institutional relationships and was a leader in introducing our ESG capabilities to clients. Prior to that, Abi was a member of the Credit Research team, joining in September 2009 as an associate, then rising to analyst in 2011 and a senior analyst in 2013. Abi began her career with Breckinridge’s Client Administration team. Abi is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts, Boston Security Analysts Society, Boston Area Sustainability Group, Women Investing for a Sustainable Economy and Boston Area Sustainable Investment Consortium. She sits on the Associates Committee of the Women in Public Finance, Boston Chapter. Abi holds a BS in psychology from Tufts University and an MBA in finance from the Boston University School of Management. Abi currently holds a FINRA Series 65 license.

    • Andrew TerasVice President

      Andrew, Vice President, is a senior research analyst at Breckinridge. In his role, Andrew performs municipal credit analysis. He has been with the firm since 2013 and has over seven years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Andrew was an analyst at Standard & Poor’s Rating Services covering states and local governments for the firm’s U.S. Public Finance Group. Andrew also served as an analyst at the NYC Comptroller’s Office in the Bureau of Public Finance, which is responsible for management of the City’s capital markets borrowing. Andrew is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Boston Municipal Analysts Forum. He received a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Andrew also holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School, and a Master of City and Regional Planning (MCRP) also from UNC Chapel-Hill.

      Khurram, Vice President, is a senior research analyst at Breckinridge. In his role, Khurram performs corporate credit analysis. He has been with the firm since 2012 and has over four years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Khurram was a municipal credit intern at C.W. Henderson & Associates. Before that, Khurram was as an options and derivatives research analyst at TDD Options. Khurram is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts, the Fixed Income Analysts Society and the Boston Security Analysts Society. He holds a BS in physics and astronomy from the University of Maryland College Park, an MS in astrophysics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with concentrations in analytic finance, econometrics, economics and entrepreneurship.

    • Ruth DucretVice President

      Ruth Ducret, Vice President, is a research analyst at Breckinridge. In her role, she performs municipal credit analysis. Ruth has 13 years of investment industry experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, she was a credit analyst with Standard & Poor’s where she covered local governments and also analyzed money market funds, local government investment pools and longer duration bond funds.  Ruth holds a BA from Tufts University and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.

      Kevin, Vice President, is a research analyst at Breckinridge. In his role, he performs corporate credit analysis and contributes to the ongoing development of Breckinridge’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) frameworks. He has been with the firm since 2013 and has over eight years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Kevin was an investment banking intern at Sustainable Development Capital where he helped financial institutions, corporations and developers structure and raise capital for large-scale renewable energy and sustainable development projects. Kevin was also an analyst at Kirby York, a New York-based hedge fund. Kevin holds a BA in psychology and accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University, an MS in sustainability management from Columbia University and is pursuing an MBA from the Boston University Questrom School of Business. Kevin is based in San Diego.

    • Michael BonannoAssistant Vice President

      Michael, Assistant Vice President, is a research analyst at Breckinridge. In his role, Michael performs municipal credit analysis and contributes to the ongoing development of Breckinridge’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) frameworks. He joined Breckinridge in 2011 as an operations assistant and transitioned to Credit Research in 2012. Michael has over eight years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, he worked at State Street where he was hired as a portfolio accountant and transitioned into a hybrid portfolio reconciliation/trade operations role. Michael is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Boston Municipal Analyst Forum. Michael holds a BA in small business management and entrepreneurship from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and he is currently pursuing an MBA at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.

    • Patrick L. Araujo-LipineAssistant Vice President

      Patrick, Assistant Vice President, is a research analyst at Breckinridge. In his role, Patrick performs municipal credit analysis. Patrick joined Breckinridge in 2009 as a member of Client Services, and he transitioned to Credit Research in 2013. He has over seven years of investment industry experience. Patrick is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Boston Municipal Analyst Forum. He holds a BS in finance from Florida State University, and an MBA from the F.W. Olin School of Business at Babson College. Patrick currently holds a FINRA Series 65 license.

    • Timothy DaleyAnalyst

      Tim is a research analyst at Breckinridge. In his role, Tim performs municipal credit analysis. He joined the firm in November 2015 and has over five years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, he was an analyst with Standard & Poor’s Rating Services where he analyzed local governments, states and higher education organizations. Tim is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Boston Municipal Analysts Forum. Tim holds a BA in business administration with a minor in economics from Skidmore College.

    • Vivian WongAssociate Analyst

      Vivian is an associate research analyst at Breckinridge. In her role, Vivian is responsible for municipal credit analysis. Before joining Credit Research in July 2016, Vivian was an intern for the team from September 2015 to April 2016. Prior to Breckinridge, she was a fixed income summer associate for AllianceBernstein where she performed quantitative and sovereign analysis. Vivian holds a BA in mathematics with a minor in computer science from Boston College.

    • Lisa WinslowVice President

      Lisa, Vice President, is a senior trader for Breckinridge. In her role, Lisa is responsible for municipal bond trade execution. She has been with the firm since 2000 and has over 30 years of experience in municipal bond trading and portfolio management. Prior to Breckinridge, Lisa worked for Eagle Investment Associates, the investment subsidiary of The Bank of Boston, where she was responsible for all tax-exempt trading for the trust, custodial and agency accounts. She was also the portfolio manager for the bank's money market funds with assets totaling over $6 billion. Lisa started her career at The Bank of Boston where she worked in municipal trading and underwriting. Lisa attended Salem State College.

    • Benjamin PeaseVice President

      Ben, Vice President, is a trader for Breckinridge. In his role, Ben leads the firm’s taxable trading effort. He has been with the firm since 2014 and has over 15 years of professional trading experience across a wide range of markets. Prior to Breckinridge, Ben was a vice president and senior fixed income trader at TD Asset Management Inc. In this role, he was responsible for the trade execution of various fixed income asset classes, daily oversight of the trading desk and participation on the fixed income portfolio management team. Before TD, Ben worked at Banknorth Investment Management Group where he was promoted to head trader in 2005, overseeing the daily trading for approximately $7 billion in assets under management. Ben began his trading career at Fidelity Investments as part of the Spartan Trading group. Ben holds both a BS in finance and economics and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.

    • Benjamin M. SmelserVice President

      Ben, Vice President, is a trader for Breckinridge. In his role, Ben is responsible for both taxable and tax-exempt municipal bond trade execution. Ben joined Breckinridge in 2010 and has been promoted several times during his tenure with the firm. Prior to entering his current role in December 2013, Ben was a member of the Credit Research team. He joined this team in September 2011 as an associate and rose to a senior analyst in 2013. Ben began his career with Breckinridge’s Client Administration team. He is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and an adjunct member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. He holds a BS in finance from Southeastern University and an MBA in economics and management from the Elkin B. McCallum Graduate School of Business at Bentley University. Ben currently holds a FINRA Series 65 license. He is based in San Diego.

      Adam is a trading associate for Breckinridge. In his role, Adam is responsible for municipal bond trade execution. He joined Breckinridge’s Client Services team in 2011, and transitioned to Trading in 2014. Prior to Breckinridge, he worked as a forensic analyst at Secure Financial Services Inc. Adam holds a BS in finance from the University of Vermont and an MBA in finance from the Boston University Questrom School of Business. Adam currently holds a FINRA Series 65 license.

    • Julio C. Sical Associate

      Julio is a trading associate for Breckinridge. He joined the firm in January 2016 and has over 7 years of fixed income trading experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Julio was a municipal bond trader at Columbia Management. Before Columbia, he was with TD Asset Management Inc., where he began as a portfolio implementation analyst and then rose to fixed income trader. Julio holds a BA in business administration from Suffolk University.

    • Natalie WrightVice President

      Natalie, Vice President, is a product manager at Breckinridge. In her role, Natalie is responsible for the effective communication and positioning of the firm and its strategies. She has been with Breckinridge since October 2015 and has over 15 years of investment experience. Prior to joining the firm, Natalie was a senior investment writer at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) where she crafted marketing and research content for institutional and retail investors. Prior to SSGA, Natalie held trade management and credit rating analysis roles at Dimensional Fund Advisors and Moody's Investors Service, respectively. Natalie also managed a high-grade corporate bond portfolio at The Sumitomo Trust & Banking Co. Ltd., covering various industries. Natalie holds a BA in economics from Princeton University and an MBA in econometrics and international business from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

    • Phillip A. NewellExecutive Vice President

      Phil, Executive Vice President, oversees the Consultant Relations and Marketing teams at Breckinridge. Phil sits on the firm’s Executive Committee. In his role, Phil directs overall consultant relations and business development strategy and manages many of the firm’s key relationships. Phil has been with the firm since 1998 and has over 26 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Phil spent 10 years in institutional fixed income sales and trading at several regional brokerage firms. Before that, Phil held the role of investment officer at Shawmut Bank of Boston. He received a BA in economics from Ohio Wesleyan University.       Chris, Senior Vice President, is a consultant relations manager at Breckinridge. Chris serves as co-head of the firm’s Governance Committee. In his role, Chris assists in setting overall consultant relations and business development strategy and manages many of the firm’s key relationships. He has been with the firm since 2004 and has over 16 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Chris spent three years in institutional sales at Decision Economics Inc., a macroeconomic consulting firm based in Boston. He started his career in the Marketing department of Putnam Investments. He received a BA in government and legal studies from Bowdoin College.       Tim, Senior Vice President, is a consultant relations manager at Breckinridge. In his role, Tim focuses on developing the firm’s institutional relationships. In his time at the firm, Tim has helped lead the introduction of Breckinridge’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) capabilities to clients. He has been with the firm since 2012 and has over 20 years of fixed income experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Tim was a vice president at Fidelity Investments where he launched and managed the firm's Municipal Finance group within Fidelity Capital Markets. Prior to Fidelity, he spent over 10 years with Corby Capital Markets Inc. where he managed the sales and marketing teams and served his last three years as the firm's president. Tim started his career in fixed income in institutional sales roles at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Inc. and RBC Dain Rauscher Corp. Tim serves on the governing board for Ridley College and is a member of the Municipal Fiscal Health Working Group for the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.       James, Vice President, is a consultant relations manager at Breckinridge. James sits on the firm's Risk Committee and also serves as head of the firm’s Social Charitable Committee. In his role, James assists in setting overall consultant relations and business development strategy and manages many of the firm’s institutional relationships. He joined the firm in 2010 and has over 15 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, he spent over eight years at Gannett Welsh & Kotler LLC. where his primary responsibilities included business development and relationship management within the firm’s Sales and Client Service group. He started his career in the Mutual Funds department at Loomis Sayles & Co., first as an associate in the Sales and Marketing group, then as an a quantitative/performance analyst in the Fund Administration group. James is a member of the Boston Security Analysts Society. James received a BA in psychology from Colby College.     • Mitchel J. SypVice President

      Mitch, Vice President, is a consultant relations manager at Breckinridge. In his role, Mitch is responsible for relationship management and new business development. He has been with the firm since 2011 and has over 10 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, he spent three years at Columbia Management Investment Advisers LLC as a trader in their Fixed Income department. Before Columbia, he worked on the dealer side in the Institutional Sales group at A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc. Mitch started his career in financial services at State Street Bank & Trust Co. in their Portfolio Accounting group.  Mitch received a BA in sociology from Johns Hopkins University.       Jeremy, Vice President, is a consultant relations manager at Breckinridge. In his role, Jeremy is responsible for relationship management and business development. He has been with the firm since 2011 and has over eight years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Jeremy was a member of BlackRock Inc.’s Client Service group.       J.W., Vice President, is a key accounts manager at Breckinridge. In his role, J.W. manages many of the firm’s largest advisor relationships. He has over 12 years of client services and relationship management experience within the investment industry. In 2006, J.W. returned to Breckinridge after initially working with the firm from 2003 to 2004.  From 2004 to 2006, J.W. was with Shepard Kaplan LLC. At Shepard Kaplan, he provided relationship management and manager search and selection support to both institutional and private clients. J.W. started his career with Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in their Global Custody group.  He received a BA in economics from Gettysburg College and currently holds a FINRA Series 65 license.       Ariana, Assistant Vice President, is a consultant relations manager at Breckinridge. She is also a member of the firm’s Social Charitable Committee. She also regularly participates in Breckinridge’s weekly podcast to update clients on market events. Ariana joined Breckinridge in 2008 as a member of the Client Services team, and transitioned to Consultant Relations in 2013. Prior to Breckinridge, she was a financial representative for John Hancock Financial Network. Ariana earned a BS in economics and finance from Bentley University.       Katie, Senior Vice President, is Breckinridge’s director of marketing. She is a member of the firm’s Governance Committee. In her role, Katie leads the firm’s marketing initiatives and programs, including corporate branding, digital marketing, collateral development, RFP management, pitchbook development, event planning and database management. Katie joined Breckinridge in 2010 as a marketing manager and rose to her current role in 2013. She has over 10 years of investment marketing and communications experience. Prior to Breckinridge, Katie spent five years at State Street Global Advisors where she held marketing roles within the company’s Consultant Relations and Fixed Income Investment Departments. Before SSgA, she worked as a mortgage closer for Resource Bancshares Mortgage Group Inc. Katie began her career as a legal analyst for the Law Firm of Fennell, Liquori & Powers. Katie received a BA in economics from Mount Holyoke College and currently holds a FINRA Series 65 license.

    • Anthony GrecoChief Operating Officer

      Anthony is Breckinridge's chief operating officer. He is a member of the firm's Executive and Risk Committees. In his role, Anthony oversees business operations and manages both internal and external controls. Anthony joined Breckinridge in 2004 and has been promoted several times during his tenure with the firm. Prior to moving into his current role in May 2016, Anthony was a senior vice president on the Portfolio Management team. Prior to moving to Portfolio Management in 2014, he was a member of the Trading team, initially joining in 2008 and rising to head of trading in 2013. In addition to his roles on the Investment team, Anthony has been a key architect of the proprietary technology employed by the firm. His vision and insight have been instrumental in the development of Breckinridge’s trading and portfolio management platforms as well as the reconciliation systems utilized by the firm. Prior to his move to the investment side of the business, Anthony served Breckinridge in a variety of operational capacities, from client services to account reconciliation to portfolio management support. Anthony holds a BS in accounting from Stonehill College.

    • Helen McAuleyChief Compliance Officer/Chief Sustainability Officer

      Helen is Breckinridge’s chief compliance officer and chief sustainability officer. She is a member of the firm's Risk Committee. In her roles, Helen is responsible for administering the firm’s compliance program and overseeing corporate sustainability initiatives. She joined the firm in January 2016 and has over 23 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, she spent 10 years at Westfield Capital Management Company, L.P., most recently as their chief compliance officer. Before Westfield, Helen was a compliance manager at MFS Investment Management. Helen holds a BS from Boston College and an MBA from Northeastern University.

    • Denise ThompsonDirector of Human Resources

      Denise is Breckinridge’s director of human resources. In her role, Denise oversees employee relations and benefits administration. Denise joined Breckinridge in 2013 as a trade operations specialist and assumed interim responsibility of the firm’s Corporate Sustainability Program in 2015. As a part of her sustainability efforts, Denise regularly consulted with Breckinridge’s Executive Committee on employee concerns and implemented key employee programs. Denise continues to support Breckinridge’s Chief Sustainability Officer and coordinate our internal sustainability committees. Prior to joining Breckinridge, Denise was a relationship manager at Charles River Development, a software developer specializing in the automation of front-end and back-end business operations of buy-side investment firms. Prior to that, Denise was a high-yield and convertible bond trader at Calamos Asset Management Inc. and a taxable trader at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Denise holds a BA in business and finance from Lake Forest College and an MBA in finance and management from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.

    • Jesse StarksChief Technology Officer

      Jesse is Breckinridge’s chief technology officer. He sits on the firm's Risk Committee and also serves as co-head of the firm’s Governance Committee. In his role, Jesse directs the strategic integration of technology across the firm. Jesse joined Breckinridge in 2011 as Director of Development and rose to his current role in January 2016. He has over 14 years of experience designing and managing large-scale distributed systems. Prior to Breckinridge, Jesse was a senior web systems engineer for Aetna Inc., where he specialized in information security, infrastructure design, and performance analysis. He also represented Aetna at Microsoft's Interoperability Executive Council, a consortium dedicated to creating standards across emerging internet technologies. Before Aetna, Jesse was a systems developer at the University of Connecticut where his responsibilities included development of online education systems, external/internal web portals, and public facing web entities. He started his career in 2001 with Sennheiser Electronics Corp., as manager of ecommerce websites and North American digital marketing.

    • Matthew WoodDirector of Systems Engineering

      Matt is Breckinridge’s director of systems engineering. In his role, Matt leads the design, security and maintenance of Breckinridge’s IT infrastructure. He has been with the firm since 2012 and has over 10 years of experience with diverse, large-scale system design and support. He started his career working at the School of Technology of the Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) as a server and network administrator. At CCSU, Matt assisted faculty and students and supported the design and setup of the university’s information systems. In 2006, Matt joined Travelers Inc. as a distributed systems specialist responsible for the management and support of the organization’s data center. In 2007, Matt moved to Aetna Inc.’s Web Engineering Team. This position focused on all facets of web technology including system design, development, automation and administration. Matt graduated from CCSU in 2006 with a BS in information technology and a concentration in networking engineering.
