Michael Bonanno

Senior Research Analyst

Michael is a senior research analyst and the municipal sustainability lead at Breckinridge. In his role, Michael performs municipal credit analysis and contributes to the ongoing development of Breckinridge’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) frameworks. He joined Breckinridge in 2011 as an operations assistant and transitioned to research in 2012. Michael has over 16 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, he worked at State Street where he was hired as a portfolio accountant and transitioned into a hybrid portfolio reconciliation/trade operations role. Michael is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts and the Boston Municipal Analyst Forum. Michael holds a B.A. in small business management and entrepreneurship from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and an MBA with a dual focus in sustainability and finance from the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University.
