David is Breckinridge’s chief investment officer. He sits on the firm’s Executive Committee, and also heads the Investment Committee. Under David’s leadership, Breckinridge’s Investment Committee determines market outlook and directs the firm’s investment strategy. He has been with the firm since 2003 and has over 21 years of investment industry experience. Prior to Breckinridge, David was an executive vice president at Thomson Financial where he developed and produced global fixed income research products. David also held positions as chief municipal strategist at Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. and as a private bank asset manager at both Bankers Trust and Prudential Financial Inc. David’s research on municipal bond risk management was published in the 1994 Handbook of Municipal Bonds, and the 1996 Handbook of Derivatives Risk and Responsibility. David currently serves on the Town of Duxbury Board of Selectmen and as a lecturer at Boston College Woods School for Advanced Studies. He served on the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board from 2009 to 2013. David holds a B.A. in accounting from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in finance and marketing from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
